"Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him." Maya Angelou

Learning takes steps. As with any execution, the following are necessary: research, planning, knowledge, execution, and reassessment. The reassessment is important in finding out what works well for students. As stated in class, "learning is ongoing." As we learn how to prepare and execute planning necessary to bring students to their fullest potential, we learn more about capabilities. This refinement of skills continues to show itself through students and teachers alike. I am eager to learn how to properly prepare for students and their needs.

  1. In my classroom I have a small library of chapter books that I allow my students to check out. I love it because I feel proud when my students will choose to read a book over being on Facebook. I constantly encourage my students to learn to read for pleasure by introducing books that they would find interesting.

  2. Learning is a process that vary amongst our students. We as teachers need to have patience and try to work with each of our students to ensure success in the classroom. This can be difficult as so many of our students have different strengths and weaknesses, that is why it is important to prepare and accommodate the various learning styles our students benefit the most from.
