In true education, anything that comes to our hand is as good as a book:
the prank of a page- boy, the blunder of a servant, a bit of table talk -
they are all part of the curriculum.
Materials serves an important role in learning a language. Teaches must consider the needs of the students and find the balance between age appropriate and curriculum appropriate materials. ReplyDeleteI agree! I use a variety of instructional strategies with my students inorder to keep the lessons interesting and the students engaged. I try to refrain from using the textbook too much because-- 1)Not all my students are reading at the same level and 2). My students have different learning styles. I believe that incorporating technology in the classroom is important because it exposes kids to new avenues of learning.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. we have students with different learning style and level of learning. The teacher's job is to teach the student in the way that suit the students' level of learning. technology is what encourage nowadays but it won't work for the kids if its not suiting their way of learning. I think, doing both ways is much better than doing it one way. Thanks for sharing your link.
