Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another.
G. K. Chesterson

Teaching language has a purpose in the community. Communication is the key to all relationships from personal to professional. Language and its connection to the past will foster connections to the future. Learning the different nuances behind the meanings can help determine how we teach language. The past tells us how we can plan for the future.

Well put, Theo. Indeed, as a teacher, a friend, and a role model, for our students, it is always important to remember that we are cultivating the minds that will lead the way tomorrow. Every aspect of how we communicate with our students affects how they perceive us. What we teach in the classroom should be the kind of stuff that will influence the way our students think.

  2. I agree with you both, Theo and jrancheta. Education is the soul of the society and teachers are the nourishing of the soul.
