“Reading without reflecting is like eating without digesting.” - Edmund Burke

Have you ever felt the symptoms of indigestion? Discomfort, nauseated and vomiting. Well this not only applies to your health but also for your well being as an educator. When you tend to read too fast combined with stress and anxiety most of the time you will fail to assimilate the contents of what you are reading putting all of your efforts into waste. So in order to reflect on what you have read effectively, try to read it in one passage slowly and try to clear your minds from other things while you are reading. Doing this you'll only have to read once and digest all the nutrients of the passage you are reading.

It sounds funny but that is the truth. As teachers we have to help our students to read with pace. Most of our young readers tend to read without pacing and it makes no sense of what they are reading. In order to get the content of what they are reading, they have to read with the appropriate pacing.
